I would definitely recommend this book for historical romance fans! This is a relatively quick read, but packs in plenty of wonderful banter and heart-wrenching plot. It didn’t take long for me to become entirely too invested in their futures! And that helped me easily connect to them. All of our paper waste is recycled within the UK and turned into corrugated cardboard.
I feel that I truly understand why each person behaved the way they did. The characters were beautifully written and well-developed. But for the most part, I could figure it out easy enough. At first, it was a little difficult to keep track of what was happening when.
This book moves between events that happened five years previously, and events that are currently happening. The pacing and timeline was a little confusion, however. Frosted is a heart-wrenching romance about a pirate and an ice-cold lady who seem to have hated each other for years, inspired by winter-themed fairytales like The Snow Queen and The Steadfast Tin Soldier. If you love shows like Downton Abbey and Bridgerton, this is the perfect book for you! This was such a fun read! It’s been too long since I’ve read a really good regency romance and I’m so glad I had the chance to read Frosted.
